From childhood memories to love at first taste
Cooking is my first language of love.
It began in childhood.
After exploring other creative paths.
The kitchen is where I find real calm.
French, Italian… a little Colombian by adoption. And above all, deeply greedy!
An unconditional love of cooking and of the pleasure of having people round.
Cooking that is entirely intuitive, never following a recipe to the letter.
A nuisance for somebody who runs a cooking blog? Not at all — let me prove you the opposite!
My taste for sharing being stronger than anything, it is a pleasure to hand you my finest successes…
I always have ideas for recipes simmering away in my head!
When I make a dish I always follow the same method: a pinch of inspiration, a drop of escape, but above all… a good ladle of instinct!
A creative freedom I love, but one with a knack for leaving my guests wanting: I could never pass on how I had made anything, because I cooked on instinct and never wrote a thing down.
To keep a record of my creations and share them easily, I started the MonaSpice Instagram account. But the adventure did not stop there…
One day a friend told me how frustrating it was not to be able to see any of it, not being on social media. He offered to help me build a place of its own for this passion, open to everyone. And that is how monaspice.com came about!
Cooking is my first language of love.

The kitchen is where I find real calm.
Looking after yourself has never meant giving up pleasure.
Most of what I make is gluten-free as well.
Travel, discoveries, the people you meet along the way.
I like building bridges between cultures and flavours.
For me, cooking only truly makes sense when it is shared around a big table, surrounded by the people you love.
This site is an extension of that passion.
Put on an apron — who knows, you might just let yourself be tempted.
